1. Water Level
Check water levels weekly during warm months, and bi-weekly the rest of the year.
The plates inside your batteries need to be covered with water to perform correctly. Letting them dry can cause irreversible damage.

2. Corrosion
Check your battery posts and cables weekly and remove corrosion with a brush and a solution of baking soda and water. The acid and corrosion may permanently damage your pavement, so lay down a water proof mat before cleaning.
Left unattended, corrosion will SIGNIFICANTLY affect the life of your battery pack. You might even lose a few batteries.

3. Charge
Charge your cart batteries daily and avoid letting them fully lose their charge.
Leaving batteries in a discharged state causes a chemical reaction called sulfation and will lower the lifespan of your battery faster.
Consider having a neighbor charge your cart weekly if you're going to be away for an extended period.
